Entry Requirements

Applicants must belong to one of the categories: Refugee or Internally Displaced Person (IDP), young persons with disabilities, international students, young people living in refugee host communities, underrepresented ethnic groups in Uganda, or other Ugandan youth. Applicants must have applied for admission to Makerere University's main campus for 2026/2027, completed undergraduate education in an African country, be 35 years or younger (40 for refugees/IDPs/disabled), demonstrate financial need, not hold or have completed any other Master's degree or scholarship, show leadership or community service engagement, and apply for priority programs under the scholarship.
