Fully funded PhD at SETU evaluating a football-based physical activity programme to improve health and wellbeing in men after prostate cancer diagnosis.
Project Description
This PhD project evaluates the implementation and effectiveness of a football-based physical activity intervention for men recovering from prostate cancer.
Using a mixed-methods approach, the research will assess feasibility, acceptability, and outcomes of the programme, including a multi-site randomised controlled trial. It will also examine scalability for national implementation.
The project involves collaboration with healthcare providers, sporting organizations, and patient groups, contributing to cancer survivorship strategies and improving quality of life for participants.
Entry Requirements
Minimum 2:1 degree in Exercise Science, Physiotherapy, Public Health, Health Psychology, or related field
