Project Description

This PhD project focuses on the design, implementation, and evaluation of a culturally tailored digital health platform for gestational diabetes management in Malaysia. The study will involve pregnant women diagnosed with gestational diabetes across Johor state and will integrate continuous glucose monitoring with multilingual education and decision support tools. The project aims to improve: Patient engagement Maternal glycaemic control Neonatal outcomes The research offers interdisciplinary training across: Digital health innovation Medicine and health sciences Translational research Biomedical engineering collaboration Most of the project will be carried out in Johor, and the candidate will be expected to travel across different sites within the state.

Entry Requirements

First Class Honours (H1) or equivalent
Must meet English language requirements

Preferred:
Biomedical background
Conversant in Bahasa Malaysia and/or English
Interest in innovation and technology
