Structure
The courses offered by unibz are full-time PhD programmes. The teaching and research curriculum is carefully structured and includes a research stay abroad of at least three months. The minimum duration of the PhD programme is three years. Students can write their dissertations in German, Italian or English. In exceptional cases, the dissertation may be written in other languages.
Scholarships and financial help
For most of our PhD positions, unibz funds scholarships of €28,000 per year (including tax). For research trips abroad, funding can increase up to 50%. Other research activities (conferences, research trips, summer schools, etc.) are funded through individually allocated travel bursaries.
Further grants are offered by the Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale.
